Bale Mountains Trekking By Surface
Duration: 10Days, 9Nights
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa. Overnight Ghion Hotel or Similar
Day 2: Drive from Addis Ababa to Wendo Genet, en route visit Lake Ziway, Abiyata Shala Lakes. Overnight Wabi Shebel Hotel.
Day 3: Drive from Wendo Genet to Dinsho- the head quarter of Bale Mountains National Park. Overnight Dinsho Lodge.
Day 4: Trek from Dinsho to Geysay Valley and back to Dinsho. Overnight Camping.
Day 5: Trek and pass through the lovely waterfall of Finch finally reach the beautiful camp site of Meraro (3750). Overnight camping.
Day 6: Trek beneath the peaks of the same name, see and taste the strange mineral springs before making the steep ascent out of the head of the valley on to the sanette plateau. Travel across to camp beneath Mount Batu's(4203m) crags, at the head of the Shiya Valley.Over Night camping.
Day7:Climb Batu (4203m), and then trek on across the arms of mount Batu, to camp beside lovely Garba Guracha Lake-set beneath towering cliffs in the head of Tegona Valley.Over night camping.
Day8: Trek across the plateau and its many lakes to be met by vehicle at Goba.Over night Wabe Shebele Hotel.
Day9: Drive from Goba to Sodere- a famous weekend resort center. Overnight Wabe Shebele Hotel.
Day 10: Drive back to Addis Ababa and sightseeing tour, fare well dinner party and Evening Departure.
